UFO hits wind turbine - Conisholme Lincs Octopus UFO?

Labels:

Ufologists are becoming somewhat excited by the reports today of a potential UFO crash site in Conisholme, Lincolnshire. Eye witnesses report seeing orange glowing lights in the night sky just before 4am on 4th January 2009. What makes this incident different from others is that evidence may well be located around the crash site.

At around 4am UK time a wind turbine was hit by 'something' rendering the 290ft monster turbine buckled and damaged and missing one of its 65ft blades (of which there are 3). Reports suggest that the missing blade is not present at the site which strengthens the theory that something out of this world may lay at the heart of this incident.

John Harrison, a local witness, described how he looked out of his landing window and saw a “massive ball of light with tentacles going right down to the ground” over the wind farm. He said: “It was huge. With the tentacles it looked just like an octopus.”

Council health and safety officials have said that even the strongest gale was unlikely to be responsible and described it as a “unique incident”.

Wind farm company Ecotricity admitted: “We don’t know what caused the problem. We are investigating.”

The incident is being dubbed the “Octopus UFO” owing to the reports of tentacles and how the lights appeared joined in formation. The MoD has commented (giving credence to the fact they are interested in the incident) said of the latest scare: “Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting.”

This is a significant incident for Ufologists but time will tell what explanations can be provided for this case once further information has been made avaliable. You do have to ask yourself however why it has taken over 4 days for the information to be made public by which time of course other 'interested' parties will have had chance to survey the wreckage and remove any evidence. Not quite Rendlesham Forest at this stage but watch this space....
